By the way,
I forgot to mention that the public of thailand right now seems to be overthrowing the government and we got a little freaked out by that for a day, but we did lots of research on current events and even spoke via internet to people who are living there and have let us know that living conditions remain unaffected by the political crisis unless you choose to involve yourself. plus the hot spots are in specific areas of Bangkok (similarly to how they would be focused in Ottawa here in Canada) and we are going to live in Phuket which is about a 9 or 10 hour drive from there.
